a southern sprinkle

What a joyous day! Celebrating our precious baby boy and his upcoming arrival is easy — doing so alongside so many dearly loved family and friends is truly a dream. Goodness, I can tell already how strong and sweet our darling boy is! He keeps me on my toes, expecting that he could very well make an early entrance any day now. My wonderful parents made the trip down from our hometown to Nashville to graciously host this sprinkle for us at the clubhouse in their new neighborhood. And my Mama sure does know how to shower us with love!  She is so thoughtful and attentive to the most meaningful details. From the flowers, to the cupcakes, gifts, and lovely venue (which is quintessentially Southern through and through), she is truly the best mama a girl could hope for. I aspire to be half as loving and devoted of a mom as she is.
I just love these flowers my mom ordered.  Such a lovely combination of our favorite colors - blue and white!  I wish my sweet Granny had been able to make the trip, but thankfully we were able to see her not long after and have our own private celebration. I just love how excited she is about Y’s due date being just 3 days from  the birthdate she and I share!  We love celebrating “our” day every year together, and eagerly await welcoming another March birthday to the family!
So many sweet details prepared by the amazing and beautiful hostesses!  From the gorgeous flowers packed with hydrangeas, roses, lilies, and snapdragons in hues of white, ivory and blues ...
... to the precious banner my sister-in-love handmade celebrating baby Yates, along with an adorable "clothes" line full of darling baby essentials, and sweet tea (of course!).  No southern gathering is complete without sweet tea! ;)
My mama scouted out these yummy cupcakes and selected a wonderful assortment of flavors for all of us. I'm not very good at baking cupcakes, but I am really good at eating cupcakes from people who are. :)  These, from Gigi's Cupcakes, were every bit as delicious as they look!  Feeling especially grateful for the blessing of such a wonderful mama and family.  You are already so very loved, sweet Y!  We can’t wait to welcome you to the world!
